Community guidelines

This is the area we can't get wrong. Young people publish here under pen names and are read by strangers; the project will be judged on whether it's a safe place to do that. Here's the deal.

What you can submit

Your own work only — you must have made it and have the right to share it.

No doxxing, no slurs, and nothing that glorifies self-harm or eating disorders. Anything explicit must be marked with a content note, and there is a hard limit: no explicit sexual content involving anyone under 18, full stop.

We never display contributors' contact details. Pen names are always allowed; real names are never published.

Moderation, reporting, and removal

Every submission lands in a queue and is reviewed by a person before publication — nothing goes live automatically. You'll usually hear back within about a week. There's a one-click report link on every piece and every link in the directory; we aim to respond within 24 hours. You can ask for your work to be taken down at any time — email dpo@perotine.com and it's off the site within about a minute, with the personal data attached to it deleted on a documented schedule.

Age

If you're under 16, a parent or guardian confirms by email before anything you submit is published. We don't accept submissions from under-13s yet — the regulatory friction isn't worth it for now, and we'd rather do it properly later than badly now.

If you're struggling

If a submission refers to active suicidal ideation or active self-harm, we hold it back from publication and point you to support — Samaritans 116 123, Childline 0800 1111 — because publishing it isn't the help you need right now. If you're in immediate danger, please call 999.

Terms of submission

You keep your copyright. By submitting, you give Perotine a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish your work on the site and to share it on social media to promote it. You can withdraw your work at any time. You confirm the work is yours.
