About
Who we are
Who we are
Perotine is a free, ad-free place where women and young people publish creative work — writing, art, music, film — and find each other. It's small enough to feel like a community and public enough to matter.
It started as two English teachers, one editor and a clear idea: lower the activation energy for a young woman to publish a poem, a song, a drawing, an essay; and, over time, build a public record of voices that history has tended to delete.
How it works
Every submission is read by a person before it goes live. There are no accounts and no logins — you're credited under a display name (a pen name is fine), and your real name is never published. There's no direct messaging, no comments on individual pieces, no advertising, and nothing here monetises young people's attention. Alongside original submissions, the Beyond directory points to work by young creators living elsewhere on the web.
